Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist, Fort Bragg, North Carolina

Applicants MUST have the following qualifications/documentation and will need to complete an application for clinical privileges:

  • Possess a current Advanced Practice Registered Nursing license in any state or the District of Columbia at all times.
  • Hold current certification from the Council on Certification/Re-certification of Nurse Anesthetists.
  • CRNAs shall have, and maintain, current certification on Basic Cardiac life Support and Advance Cardiac Life Support. Responsible for obtaining and maintaining re-certification.
  • Have a minimum four years of clinical experience in the delivery of general and regional anesthesia for all ages of patients and all types of surgical procedures, including, but not limited to, major vascular, neuro-surgical, and thoracic procedures.


  • Have experience in the delivery of, and monitoring of, all types of anesthesia utilized in the delivery of obstetrical anesthesia (general endo-tracheal, sub-arachnoid block and epidural).
  • Within the past 12 months, full time obstetrical anesthesia CRNA must have documented experience of at least six months providing epidural anesthesia (labor epidurals) in support of obstetrical anesthesia with a delivery rate in excess of 200 births per month.

Contract HCP shall be board certified, Physician will have successfully completed an Undergraduate Program, Medical School (M.D. or D.O.), Internship, and Residency Program

Certification: Current BLS and ACLS if required by the client. Shall be Basic Life Support (BLS) certified and demonstrate ability to initiate CPR in event of respirator or cardiopulmonary arrest. Certifications must be maintained in current status.

Experience: Minimum of 1 year experience within preceding 3 years in the specialty

Licensure: Valid unrestricted medical license in at least 1 state, territory or commonwealth of the U.S.

  • Provides treatment and evaluation of patients based on expert knowledge and mastery of the principles, practices, problems, methods of Physician Family Practice with at least 3 years working with services within the Department of the Army.
  • Provides a full range of professional medical services to both sexes and all age ranges in a Family Practice Mode of care on an outpatient setting. This is to include assessment, diagnoses and treatment in the areas of general internal medicine, gynecology, pediatrics, outpatient surgery, clinical orthopedic, dermatology, psychiatry and preventive medicine.
  • Provides direct outpatient care to patients with general medical problems, complaints and symptoms.
  • Must obtain complete medical history and perform complete examinations for all patients presenting for care.
  • Must obtain all appropriate tests necessary to diagnose and treat all common medical conditions.
  • Shall be knowledgeable of equipment and supply terminology and skill sufficient to identify and use necessary equipment and supplies properly and to communicate proper use with nurses, medical staff, patients, and family members.
  • Shall be sufficiently skilled to teach patients proper self-care and to motivate patients and family members to continue the procedures for promoting rapid healing.
  • Shall be knowledgeable and possess skills necessary to provide care appropriate to any age-related needs of the patients. The HCP shall demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development appropriate to the appropriate patient population served: Infants, Children, Adolescent, Adults, and Geriatric (>65).
  • Shall be a U.S citizen.
  • Shall have documentation of current Drug Enforcement Agency number.
  • The HCP shall demonstrate skills in interviewing, examination, assessment, and management of patients with general medical and surgical health problems. Seriously ill patients shall be managed in consultation with or by direct referral to specialty physicians.
  • Official Education Commission for Foreign Medical School Graduation (ECFMG) Certifications for graduates of foreign medical schools, if applicable.
